Falling Behind
The Olympics are more than halfway over. The socks are not more than halfway done:
Crud. Underneath the sock is a great book that I’ve been combing through for information for my research. It’s by an early female astronomer, Cecilia Payne-Gaposchkin, who was pretty much awesome. Unfortunately, she is stealing my knitting time.

You can do it! I’m rooting for you!!! GO ASHLEY GO ASHLEY!
At least that sock looks really great. Besides, there’s still time.
That’s funny that you took a picture of you sock with that book…. I just corcheted a bookmark and ended up taking a picture of it on my solid state chemistry book
the sock is pretty though. and female astronomers are totally cool.
We’re still cheering you on! In the end I know it doesn’t matter, but for now Geaux Team!!!
ooh good work! you’re a fast knitter! I have yet to embark on a pair of socks, but might give it a go this winter.

Yay, thank you all! I finished the first one yesterday morning, thanks in part to all the encouragement here. Y’all are great! =)
KnitTink, what’s funny is that I had written that CPG “rocks my socks off” and then I realized I’d have to clarify that she “rocks my socks to incompletion,” and somehow that didn’t work as well.
Don’t get the dreaded “second sock syndrome”….keep pushing it!
Nice socks and nice photo.

I’m trying really hard! I’ve already got about 5″ of the second one done, but I have to finish it by 11am my time Saturday. Yikes!
